Boliden is looking for a Dispatch Engineer for Mining Technology in Aitik

Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters that works long-term to guarantee society's access to base and precious metals.

The Mining Technology section is responsible for, among other things, Aitik's mining planning, mine maps, geology and production-related system, technology and development issues. We work to create the conditions for efficient production and work in close cooperation with the operating organization. The section consists of teams specialized in Mine Surveying & Geotechnics, Technical Mine Planning and Systems & Production Technology.

Do you want to be involved in developing one of the mine's most central functions? We are looking for a Dispatch Engineer who wants to work at the forefront of technology and contribute to efficient, data-driven and reliable production.

As a Dispatch Engineer, you will be a key person in the work with the mine's Fleet Management System (FMS). You will work closely with the dispatch team, technicians and other work groups to ensure that the system works optimally and that production is controlled, monitored and improved with high quality. Your role is broad, working both operationally and analytically to ensure data quality, support users, solve problems in real time and identify and initiate improvements that contribute to the mine's production and delivery goals.

Your main duties

  • Support the dispatch team in working with the Fleet Management System (FMS), sharing information including system maintenance and upgrades
  • Act as a point of contact between suppliers, technicians and other departments for information and quickly resolve system-related issues in real time
  • Ensure data quality and that production data is accurate, up-to-date and that it is validated and reported according to standards
  • Analyze anomalies in the system, find causes and contribute with solutions that improve functions, workflows and ways of working
  • Record and manage system data, e.g. production events, equipment, etc.e.g. production events, equipment status and other parameters linked to the FMS.
  • Develop templates, reports and processes that contribute to effective production management
  • Collaborate with other teams to further develop system support and streamline production processes
  • Maintain maps and delivery of production critical data, including machine control files according to weekly plans
  • Work with Time Usage Model and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) to support improvement initiatives

Education/Experience

We are looking for you who have an engineering degree or other relevant experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have several years of experience working with data analysis, system development and optimization of production or technical operations. Experience from the mining industry or similar industrial activities and knowledge of tools such as Deswik.MDM, Modular, Power BI and SQL is an advantage. The work requires good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing. Your contribution will have a direct impact on the mine's production flow and efficiency. You contribute with technical competence, problem solving and improvement work that strengthens our long-term sustainability.

The position is a full-time, permanent position based in Aitik. Start date is subject to agreement.
