Your role

In the role of Dispatcher, you work as a link between machine operators, maintenance staff and other relevant personnel within the mine's work area. You are responsible for achieving set production targets in the most efficient and safe way possible. You will manage, allocate and reallocate resources in order to follow set plans, guidelines and management principles. You respond to unforeseen events, such as production stops and disruptions to minimize the impact on the mine's production.

In the role, you work closely with Production Managers and Central Controllers and have constant communication with production staff.

Your team

You will be part of a dedicated team of 18 employees. Your team includes both Dispatchers and Central Controllers. Working hours are based on K3 (morning, afternoon, week off, night, week off).

Your tasks

  • Manage and allocate the mine's resources.
  • Work on production optimization.
  • Preparing for unforeseen events.
  • Coordinating maintenance and service functions.

Your contribution

To be successful in the role, you should be structured while having the ability to prioritize and reprioritize when required. You will need to be able to work independently, take initiative and enjoy leading others and production forward.

To be qualified for the role, you have...

  • High school education.
  • Experience from open pit production.
  • Communication skills in Swedish and English.
  • B-driving license.

The work as a dispatcher involves extensive terminal work where normal color vision is important.

Good computer skills and previous experience of Modular, Maximo and Microsoft Office is an advantage.
