Your role:

As a drill core worker with us at Boliden in Garpenberg, you contribute to increasing the understanding of the mineralizations in Garpenberg, where you are responsible for handling the drill cores from the mine's and exploration's extensive survey program. Your primary tasks are sample handling in the form of sawing and packaging of drill core samples, sample handling, logistics of incoming and outgoing goods, inventory and continuous updating of inventory systems. As a core worker, you will also assist the geologists in certain tasks related to core mapping. In this role, you work daily in several different computer systems, so we would like you to have system experience and good communication skills. We are looking for you who are positive, responsive, easy to work with others and confident in taking responsibility. With these qualities, you contribute to a good working climate. You will be part of a close-knit team where we have fun together and support each other in everyday life.

The working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday above ground. Probationary period may apply.

Your team:

You will be part of the long-term planning section within the Mine Geology Garpenberg department, reporting to the chief geologist. The team consists of three other drill core workers and six mining geologists.

Your tasks:

  • Sawing of drill cores
  • Sample handling
  • Logistics of incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Inventory of storage
  • Continuous updating of storage systems
  • Disposal of drill cores

Your contribution:

  • High school education in relevant field
  • Swedish in speech and writing
  • B-driving license

Meriterande:

  • Truck training and experience of B-truck
  • Experience from warehouse/storage work
  • Computer/system skills
  • English spoken and written
