Boliden Rönnskär in Skelleftehamn is one of the world's most efficient smelters that extracts metals from raw materials from mines and various types of recycled materials. Above all, copper, gold, silver, lead and zinc clinker are produced.

We are looking for an Environmental Coordinator

As an Environmental Coordinator at Boliden Rönnskär, you are offered a workplace where you have the opportunity to work with great freedom and personal responsibility. The environmental section consists of 6 environmental technicians, 4 environmental coordinators and 1 chemical coordinator, you report to the head of the environmental section.

Job duties

The assignment as environmental coordinator is primarily focused on environmental issues. The environmental coordinator participates in the daily environmental work, which includes, for example, carrying out investigations and reports, compiling statistics, reporting, contacts with authorities and the public. You monitor current legislation and contribute to environmental work being carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, authority decisions and the company's internal regulations and policy. As an environmental coordinator, you will also plan, participate in and possibly lead projects around e.g. environmental permits, investigations and internal training. You participate in networks for environmental issues both internally within the group and externally.

Qualifications

We attach great importance to your personal qualities and want you, in addition to good cooperation skills, to be good at creating relationships and networks. Furthermore, you have the ability to write, present and communicate in a clear and convincing manner. You are flexible, analytical, results-focused and good at providing good service to the business. As a person, you are a structured problem solver, good at communicating and work both independently and in a team. The corporate language is English, so you need to be fluent in both spoken and written English and Swedish.

Experience from heavy industry is meritorious, but also experience from public or private business. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of environmental legal issues

To be eligible for the position, you need to have:

- University or college education with a focus on environment/environmental technology or equivalent.

- A few years' experience of working with issues related to environmental issues

- B driver's license

Meritorious are:

- Experience from heavy industry and/or authority practice

- Knowledge of environmental legal issues, preferably with a focus on waste legislation.

- Work with routine development, data compilation and analysis
