Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters that works long-term to guarantee society's access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that shape modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will continue to play a crucial role in the future - what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.

Your role:

We are looking for an employee who wants to take responsibility for ensuring access to the land needed for our operations, as well as managing and developing Boliden Mines' property holdings, land and forests. In this role, you will work with real estate valuations, negotiations, purchases and sales of properties, contracts and other transactions regarding the land needed for mining operations. We are looking for someone who works in a structured way, is self-motivated and has the ability to build relationships and create trust. You are also driven to analyze, identify and implement continuous improvements. With us, you will have the chance to work with committed colleagues and in a dynamic environment where your interest in sustainable development can really make a difference.

Your team:

You will be part of the Land Use and Community Relations department, a group working on forest management, real estate issues, social sustainability, biodiversity and GIS (Geographical Information Systems) coordination, among others. You will work closely with your colleagues in the department, but also with project managers in the respective mining areas, staff functions and company lawyers, among others. You are primarily located in Boliden, but hybrid solutions with work elsewhere may be possible. Travel and field work are part of the job. You report to the Head of Land Use and Community Relations.

Your duties:

  • Manage, coordinate, evaluate and develop Boliden Mines' properties, lands and forests.
  • Provide support to the mines' local work where you are the expert in real estate and land issues in projects and assignments.
  • Handle matters with various agreements and redemption of land and properties.
  • Negotiate purchases and exchanges of land and properties.
  • Purchase and sale of properties in connection with the expansion of operations.
  • Manage planning, control and reporting of property-related data.
  • Check compliance with real estate and forestry legislation and other requirements, and ensure that real estate, forestry and land issues comply with Boliden's policies and commitments.
  • Collaborate with landowners, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Correspond with property owners and authorities regarding property, land and forest.
  • Contribute to the joint work on property, forest and land issues within Boliden Mines.
  • Contribute to the work of developing strategies and routines linked to property, forest and land issues within Boliden Mines, including ensuring Boliden's land balance.

Your contribution:

  • University or college education in real estate law, forestry or brokerage.
  • Experience in a similar type of role with real estate law issues.
  • It is an advantage if you have experience in negotiations, real estate brokerage and development projects.
  • Ability to communicate in Swedish and English in speech and writing. Work will mainly be done in Swedish. English is Boliden's corporate language and basic English is a prerequisite for the position.
  • Driving license for passenger car.

Why work with us:

At Boliden, we believe in promoting a workplace where courage, consideration and responsibility are central to everything we do. We offer a workplace where we believe in collaboration and where what you contribute will have a direct impact on future generations. We are a company made up of responsible and creative people all working towards the same vision; to become the most sustainable and respected metal supplier in the world.
