Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters that works with a long-term perspective to ensure society’s access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will continue to play a crucial role in the future—what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.

Your role:

As Section Manager for Post-Treatment at Rönnskär, you’ll have the opportunity to help build a new section with an important mission. The work involves the management and post-processing of process waste and storage areas, as well as the development of methods and work procedures based on operational needs and environmental requirements. Your mission will be to lead the department by creating structure and driving progress in a field that is still evolving. With your technical expertise, you’ll work with the team to identify and develop solutions to the challenges you face.

Your team:

The new section will consist of a total of seven employees with diverse expertise in post-processing. Your immediate team will consist of four direct reports in the roles of unit manager, production engineer, process engineer, and planner. Together, you will work to develop solutions and drive the section’s work forward.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for personnel, budget, and workplace safety for the section
  • Lead, plan, and monitor the work related to the post-treatment of process waste
  • Develop methods and work practices together with the team and other parts of the organization
  • Identify and drive the development of technical solutions based on the organization’s needs
  • Ensure that work is conducted in accordance with applicable environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Drive development and change initiatives within the section

Your contribution:

We’re looking for someone who is curious, solution-oriented, and driven—and who is excited by the opportunity to develop and build something new. You have a strong technical understanding and enjoy delving into issues and finding solutions to complex challenges. You work in a structured manner and are comfortable with the fact that the path forward isn’t always clear. As a leader, you foster engagement and strong collaboration while also having the ability to set the direction and drive the work forward.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • A university or college degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience leading others, for example in projects, teams, or similar settings
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Class B driver’s license

Experience in industrial operations and working with waste management or post-treatment is a plus.
