To meet the challenges of the future and continue driving improvements in maintenance and operational reliability, we are now expanding our maintenance teams at the Renström Mine. We’re looking for a dedicated and analytical maintenance engineer who wants to make a difference!

Your role:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a central role in ensuring facility availability and the long-term development of our production-critical facilities. You’ll work closely with the business and, together with various stakeholders, be responsible for driving improvement initiatives and development projects, as well as contributing to increased operational reliability in our machinery and facilities. In this role, you will serve as an expert on projects and upgrades and provide support to technicians and work teams in their quality and improvement efforts. You will also conduct analyses and develop plans to enhance and strengthen preventive maintenance. As a maintenance engineer, you’ll work closely with colleagues and external suppliers. You’ll also be part of a network across the Boliden region—where you’ll collaborate to develop processes and work methods and support one another. All of this is to ensure an efficient and sustainable maintenance process throughout the Boliden area.

Your team

As a maintenance engineer at the Renström Mine — Sweden’s deepest mine — you’ll be part of a team of six employees (Planners, Preparers, and Supervisors) who collectively manage maintenance work for the mine’s fixed facilities and mobile machinery—both above and below ground in a unique environment.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and analyze maintenance strategies.
• Lead improvement initiatives and manage quality deviations.
• Performs technical analyses (including FMEA, RCM, and criticality analysis).
• Monitors key performance indicators for availability and efficiency.
• Provide technical support for projects, investments, and installations.
• Keep abreast of technical developments and take responsibility for development issues.
• Actively participate in investment planning.

Your contribution:

We’re looking for someone who is curious, committed, and communicative, and who enjoys collaborating with others. You have the ability to lead projects, engage your colleagues, and create a shared direction toward set goals.

You are motivated by finding solutions to problems and lead the work from analysis to implementation. You feel comfortable in a role where you balance long-term goals with daily operational challenges. With a structured and systematic approach, you have a strong drive to work with us to improve and optimize our maintenance processes.

We’re looking for someone with:

• A college or university degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance.
• Experience leading projects and development initiatives.
• Proficiency in Swedish and English—or a willingness to learn.
• Class B driver’s license.

We prefer that applicants have an engineering degree with a focus on maintenance, mechanical engineering, plant engineering, process engineering, or equivalent. Practical experience in mining, energy, or the process industry, as well as experience in change management and improvement initiatives, is also a plus.
