Your Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll work to develop and refine maintenance operations at Boliden Mines. You’ll contribute to both strategic and operational issues related to maintenance strategies, asset management, and improvement initiatives. You’ll analyze needs, identify opportunities for development, and translate these into concrete actions. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the operations, where you provide day-to-day support while also helping to drive development forward together with other functions.
You’ll be based at Boliden, but the role involves collaboration with several of our operations, which means that travel is a natural part of the job.
Your team
You’ll be part of an experienced and collaborative team consisting of maintenance engineers, mechanical engineers, and specialists in maintenance systems such as Maximo and SAP. The team works closely with production, engineering, and project operations and is characterized by knowledge sharing, openness, and a shared responsibility for development. Here, you’ll find natural support in your day-to-day work and excellent opportunities to learn from one another.
Your Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze areas for improvement in maintenance and operational reliability
- Conduct root cause analyses and develop sustainable solutions
- Develop and improve work methods in preventive and predictive maintenance
- Participate in and drive improvement initiatives related to availability and cost-effectiveness
- Work with and develop the use of maintenance systems (Maximo/SAP)
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators for maintenance
- Collaborate with production and engineering on both day-to-day and development-oriented tasks
- Help spread knowledge and best practices throughout the organization

We are looking for someone who has:
- Post-secondary education in engineering, maintenance, or a related field
- Experience working in maintenance, industry, or process operations
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English
- Class B driver’s license
It is advantageous if you have:
- Experience in reliability engineering or asset management
- Knowledge of condition-based or predictive maintenance
- Experience with maintenance systems such as Maximo or SAP
- A background in mechanical engineering or production engineering
- Experience with structured improvement initiatives
