Your role

In this role, you will have a central and developing assignment where you work both strategically and long-term to strengthen the operational safety of mobile machines within the Boliden area. You develop and optimize our maintenance strategies with the support of machine data, insights from operations and analysis of key figures. Through this, you actively drive our continued investment in data-driven and condition-based maintenance. As a maintenance engineer, you will lead development projects and improvement work while ensuring that common ways of working are implemented and followed in our various operations.

The role involves close collaboration with functions such as operations, engineering and maintenance within all sites on the Boliden site. You will also have contact with external suppliers and other stakeholders. In addition, together with your engineering colleague, you are the convener of the engineering network within the Boliden area - where you together develop processes, working methods and support each other. All to ensure an efficient and sustainable maintenance process throughout the Boliden area.


Your tasks

  • Lead maintenance development for mobile machines
  • Integrate connected machines into the maintenance system
  • Develop common R & D templates and working methods within the Boliden area
  • Analyze fault codes and coach the sites in working methods for fault code classification and follow-up
  • Lead criticality analyses, FMEA, RCA and improvement projects
  • Develop KPI documentation and spare parts strategies
  • Follow the technical development and be responsible for development issues for the Boliden area towards mobile machines


Your contribution

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in data-driven maintenance and who enjoy immersing yourself in analyzes to understand causes, correlations and opportunities for improvement. You are motivated by developing ways of working that make a difference in everyday life and take on both technical and organizational challenges with a curious and solution-oriented approach. You are confident in collaborating with many different stakeholders and create engagement through clear and responsive communication. You work systematically and find it easy to make complex information understandable. Your pedagogical skills mean that you are happy to share your knowledge to train, coach and support others in new ways of working.

We see that you as an applicant have:

  • University or college education in the relevant field
  • Knowledge and experience of industrial maintenance work.
  • Good computer and system experience
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English - or the desire to learn.
  • B-driving license

It is meritorious if you have previous experience from the mining or process industry and experience of Lean, TPM or similar.
