Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters that takes a long-term approach to ensuring society’s access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will continue to play a crucial role in the future—what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.

Your role:

As a maintenance planner at Rönnskär, you’ll play a central role in creating the conditions for well-planned and efficient mechanical maintenance. You’ll be responsible for preparing and planning maintenance activities and ensuring that the correct technical documentation, spare parts, materials, and equipment are available. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the unit manager, mechanics, contractors, and clients.

The maintenance area covers a wide variety of machinery and equipment, such as material handling systems, furnaces, gas purification plants, overhead cranes, tanks, piping systems, pumps, and robotic cells. In this role, you will handle both emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance tasks and corrective actions based on inspections.

Your team:

You will be part of a larger maintenance organization, where your immediate team consists of two other planners, a unit manager, and ten mechanics. In this role, you’ll collaborate with your immediate colleagues, other maintenance teams, as well as operators, managers, and engineers throughout the facility. You’ll also work closely with both contractors based at Rönnskär and those hired for one-off assignments.

Your contribution:

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have a strong ability to organize and prioritize your tasks. You take initiative, are committed, and drive the work forward in an independent and responsible manner. One of your greatest strengths is your ability to collaborate and communicate clearly and responsively with various departments within the organization. You thrive in an environment where you can serve as the central hub and use your analytical skills to find solutions to problems and technical challenges.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • A high school diploma with a relevant focus.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong computer skills and experience working with maintenance systems.
  • Class B driver’s license.

Experience working in the process or manufacturing industry, as well as knowledge of reading technical drawings, design work, and CE marking, is a plus.

Why work with us:

At Boliden, we believe in fostering a workplace where care, courage, and responsibility are central to everything we do. We offer a workplace where we believe in collaboration and where your contributions will have a direct impact on future generations. We are a company made up of responsible and creative people who all work toward the same vision: to become the most sustainable and respected metal supplier in the world.
