Are you the one?

Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters that works long-term to guarantee society's access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that shape modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will continue to play a crucial role in the future - what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.

Your role:

As a maintenance planner, you are responsible for preparing and planning mechanical maintenance operations. You will ensure that technical documents such as drawings, instructions, spare parts, special equipment and materials are available for maintenance assignments. The work includes site visits, either independently or together with mechanics, to ensure good quality and efficiency of downtime and maintenance activities. Together with the head of unit, mechanics, schedulers and clients, you will develop schedules for the missions. You are also involved in the development of methods for planning, preparation and execution of maintenance work.

In the role, you will take on many different types of assignments. Assignments can range from issues relating to tanks, bulk goods and equipment for unloading and distribution, to operations linked to buildings, systems and plant components in general. For example, you may plan inspections, follow up on actions following inspections, or coordinate repair and maintenance activities. This means that you work with everything from coordinating contractors in the daily work to contributing to budget processes and simpler investment calculations.

Your team:

You will be part of a larger maintenance organization, where your immediate team consists of two other planners, a unit manager and eight mechanics. In the role, you collaborate both with your closest colleagues and with storage staff, operators, managers and engineers out in the business. You also have ongoing collaboration with both contractors stationed at Rönnskär and those hired for individual assignments.

Your contribution:

To succeed in this role, we see that you have a good ability to structure and prioritize your work tasks. You take initiative, are committed and drive the work forward in an independent and responsible manner. One of your main strengths is your ability to collaborate and communicate clearly and sensitively with different functions in the organization. You thrive in an environment where you can be the spider in the web and use your analytical skills to find solutions to problems and technical challenges.

We see that you who apply have:

  • A high school diploma with a relevant focus, preferably supplemented with further education or equivalent work experience.
  • Several years of experience in mechanical maintenance work.
  • Experience in troubleshooting.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills and experience of working in maintenance systems.
  • B driving license.

Experience of working in heavy process or manufacturing industry and knowledge of drawing reading, design work and CE marking is an advantage.

Why work with us:

At Boliden, we believe in fostering a workplace where care, courage and responsibility are central to everything we do. We offer a workplace where we believe in collaboration and where what you contribute will have a direct impact on future generations. We are a company of responsible and creative people all working towards the same vision; to become the most sustainable and respected metal supplier in the world.
