Are you the one?

Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters that works long-term to guarantee society's access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that shape modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will continue to play a crucial role in the future - what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.

Kristineberg is a rapidly developing mine where modern technology meets long experience of underground mining. Right now, the area is growing further through the investment in the nearby Rävliden, one of Boliden's most future-oriented establishments where an electrified and sustainable underground mining is now being built. This makes this an exciting time to be part of the team, where you as a vehicle mechanic get to work closely with both established operations and new technology in an environment characterized by safety, community and development.

Your role

As a vehicle mechanic in the Kristineberg mine, you work with advanced technology and heavy vehicles in a unique underground work environment. You will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our machines by performing service, troubleshooting and repairs, both in the workshop and in the field. You will be an important part of the continued development of the area, especially now that we are facing major investments linked to the new Rävliden mining area.

The position is a 12-month temporary position.

Your team

You will be part of a committed team where cooperation, responsibility and safety are fundamental in the daily work. As a vehicle mechanic at Kristinebergsgruvan, you will receive the necessary safety training to enable you to work safely and efficiently underground. Working hours follow K2 (7/7 shifts), which means that you work seven days in a row and then have seven days off, with varying morning and afternoon shifts.

Your tasks

  • Perform service and preventive maintenance on heavy vehicles and mining machines.
  • Conduct accurate troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs of various types of machines.
  • Work both in the workshop and perform field repairs in mining rooms.
  • Ensure order, structure and good documentation in connection with all work steps.

Your contribution

We are looking for you who thrive in collaboration with others and can work independently. You must be able to use your own initiative, take responsibility, be solution-oriented and have the ability to maintain order and structure.

We are looking for you who have:

  • High school education, preferably in automotive engineering or equivalent
  • Technical interest and experience of mechanical work
  • Good computer skills
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written
  • Basic knowledge of English, spoken and written
  • B-driving license

Meriterande:

  • Experience in service and maintenance of heavy construction machinery
  • Knowledge of vehicle electronics and hydraulics

Why work with us

We offer a workplace where we believe in collaboration and where what you contribute will have a direct impact on future generations. We are a company of responsible and creative people all working towards the same vision; to become the most sustainable and respected metals supplier in the world.
