Are you curious about the job as a Mechanic?

With us at Boliden, you get the chance to be part of a team that works both above and below ground to ensure that our plants run smoothly and efficiently. The position is a temporary position that extends until the end of November 2025, starting immediately.

As a Mechanic at Boliden, you will mainly work with preventive maintenance and repairs of fixed facilities above and below ground. You will drive a forklift and wheel loader in your work.

You will, among other things, work with:

• Preventive maintenance of rock winches, passenger winches, shafts, crushers and conveyor belts
• Operation and repairs of gates, pumps, ventilation walls

Your team:

You belong to the Fixed Installations - Maintenance Department in the Renströms mine. We are 15 people and the team also includes cleaners and mechanics. In the role, you will collaborate with other mechanics and other departments in the mine. You report to the supervisor of the Fixed Installations department and you work shifts during the day, Monday-Friday/Monday-Thursday.

Your contribution:

• High school diploma, preferably towards industry, mechanical or similar
• Experience in welding and assembly
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English
• Driving license for passenger car
• Meritatory if you have experience in operation, maintenance, mechanical maintenance and problem solving.

We are looking for you who are committed, self-driven and have the ability to take your own initiative. You prioritize safety, take personal responsibility and work in a careful and structured way. The position includes troubleshooting and we consider it important that you can calmly make quick decisions in critical situations.

The Boliden area in the mineral-rich Skellefte field in Västerbotten is where the first gold discovery was made, laying the foundation for a community and our business that has employed several generations of employees. Today, the area consists of the Kankberg, Renström and Kristineberg underground mines. There is also a concentrator and a leaching plant for gold and tellurium production.
