Are you the one?

Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters that works long-term to guarantee society's access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that shape modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will continue to play a crucial role in the future - what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.

Your role:

We are looking for a Mine Builder for the Kankberg mine where you will work on planning, building and maintaining the mine's infrastructure. The role involves construction in an underground environment and you will contribute to creating safe, sustainable and functional solutions for the operation. We welcome you who want to be part of a committed team and contribute to the mine of the future.

Your team:

You will be part of a team where everyone contributes to creating a workplace with a focus on continuous improvement and development of working methods. We value collaboration and support each other to achieve our common goals. Work environment and safety are of the highest priority for us and we work continuously to ensure a safe working environment. You work daytime Monday to Thursday and thus get to meet all shift teams.

Your tasks:

  • Maintain and improve important infrastructure, including water supply, ventilation systems, pumps and pumping stations both above and below ground.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on existing infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other teams in the mine, including miners, mechanics and mining engineers.

Your contribution:

  • High school diploma, preferably in construction.
  • Experience of mining, industrial or construction work.
  • Communication skills in Swedish and English.
  • Driving license for passenger car.

It is advantageous if you are comfortable working at height, have computer skills and experience of operating heavy machinery. If you have a machine operator training, it is a big plus. It is also a great advantage if you have previous experience of working in underground mines.

We look forward to working with you who have a talent for the craft, are interested in technology and prioritize health and safety. You have good teamwork skills, are responsive and easy to learn new things.

Why work with us?

We offer a workplace where we believe in collaboration and where what you contribute will have a direct impact on future generations. We are a company of responsible and creative people all working towards the same vision; to become the most sustainable and respected metal supplier in the world.
