Your opportunity
As a Mine Manager, you hold overall responsibility for the underground operations in Garpenberg. This means you are accountable for ensuring that the operation safely extracts and delivers ore of the right quality and within budgeted costs. You are joining Garpenberg at an exciting time, as we are entering a phase of expansion and planning to break new production records over the coming years. You will be welcomed into an organization where you are entrusted to lead and develop the operation together with 340 committed and competent employees. You are responsible for Garpenberg’s long-term development and actively work with strategic issues and projects. In addition to your role as Mine Manager, you are also part of Garpenberg’s management team, contributing to the site's overall matters.
We are looking for you who is an experienced and clear leader, enjoys building relationships with others, and is comfortable making decisions. You have the ability to engage and motivate, and to foster good dialogue and collaboration in Garpenberg.
Who you will work with
You will have seven direct reports with the following areas of responsibility: Production Manager for Drilling and Blasting, Production Manager for Logistics, Maintenance Manager, Mine Services Manager, Short-Term Mine Planning Manager, Long-Term Mine Planning Manager and a Project Manager.
You will work closely with other departments, such as the processing plant, environment, health, and safety. The position is located in Garpenberg, working time is Monday to Friday and travel will be required in the role.
