Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters that takes a long-term approach to ensuring society’s access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will continue to play a crucial role in the future—what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.
Your Role
We are now seeking two mining engineers for the Kankberg Mine who want to help contribute to the mine’s continued development. One role is focused on infrastructure, with an emphasis on water, ventilation, and backfilling, while the other is focused on drilling and blasting, with an emphasis on safe and cost-effective rock excavation. Both roles involve hands-on work where strategic planning, technical understanding, and collaboration are key components. The roles combine long-term development work with practical implementation. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in your area of specialization while contributing to the mine’s continued development.
Your Team
You will be part of the mine planning section in Kankberg. The section encompasses mine surveying, geology, planning, infrastructure, and diamond drilling. In your role, you will work closely with colleagues within the section, production, and other functions within the business. You will report directly to the Mine Planning Manager.
