Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters that works long-term to guarantee society's access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that shape modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will continue to play a crucial role in the future - what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations
Your role:
As a mining geologist in Garpenberg, you will be an important part of a company that values continuous development and where health, safety and the environment are at the center. You will collaborate with dedicated colleagues from different professional fields - geologists, mining engineers, production and mining services, among others - in an environment where knowledge sharing and joint solutions are encouraged. Part of the work is also independent, so we would like you to enjoy both ways of working.
To thrive and contribute to Garpenberg's continued success, we would like to see that you have good communication and collaboration skills, are meticulous with details and have a flexible approach. You are solution-oriented and have a genuine interest in developing both yourself and the business.
The position is a fixed-term full-time position for one year. The working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday underground. Some work also takes place in an office environment above ground.
Your team:
The "Mine Geology Garpenberg" team is part of the "Long-term Planning" section and consists of six mining geologists, two fixed-term geologists and four drill core workers. You will report to the Chief Geologist.
