As a mining service worker in Garpenberg, you’ll play a central role in ensuring the mine’s operations by working with process water, ventilation, and underground infrastructure. This role is ideal for you if you want to develop your career in mining, have an interest in technology, and thrive in a varied work environment.

Your Role

As a mining service worker, you’ll work on the front lines of underground production, responsible for ensuring the functionality of critical support systems such as ventilation, water management, and pumping stations. You’ll work systematically with patrols, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to contribute to safe and efficient mining operations.

This is a permanent position with shift work on a 7-7 day/night schedule underground.

Your Team

You will be part of a mining production team where collaboration and a focus on safety are central. You’ll work closely with colleagues in production, maintenance, and engineering and contribute to effective collaboration across different functions. The role involves both independent work and teamwork.

Your Responsibilities

• Supplying and installing process water
• Preparation and management of ventilation systems
• Inspection and monitoring of media and pump stations
• Identification and resolution of anomalies in the operating environment
• Participation in preventive maintenance and improvement initiatives
• Ensuring that work complies with applicable safety procedures and occupational health and safety requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school diploma, preferably in construction or industrial fields
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish
• Good ability to express yourself in English
• Class B driver’s license

Preferred:

• Operator’s certificate for mobile work platforms (BK008)
• Training in fall protection
• Certificate for Hot Work
