At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will continue to play a crucial role in the future—what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.

Your Role

As a workplace safety engineer at Boliden Bergsöe in Landskrona, you’ll play a central role in contributing to both a safe workplace and a sustainable future. Boliden Bergsöe is the Nordic region’s leading player in lead recycling, and here you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in an operation where health, safety, and sustainability are central.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the business and contribute your specialized expertise in the field of occupational health and safety. You’ll combine operational support with strategic development work and help the organization translate requirements, knowledge, and ambitions into practical and sustainable solutions. Together with managers, supervisors, and employees, you will drive the development of systematic occupational health and safety efforts, address issues related to chemical health risks, and help create a safe and stimulating workplace. Through your work, you lay the groundwork for long-term occupational health and safety efforts that enable both people and the business to thrive.

Your Team

As a workplace safety engineer, you’ll work closely with the business and report to the Head of HR, Communications, and H&S. You’ll collaborate with managers, supervisors, employees, and union representatives, and maintain ongoing contact with government agencies, specialists, and external networks in the field of occupational health and safety. At our company, involvement and collaboration are essential for success. We believe in sharing knowledge, learning from one another, and working together toward common goals.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate systematic occupational health and safety efforts
  • Support the organization in occupational health and safety and fire safety matters
  • Handle issues related to chemical health risks with a particular focus on lead
  • Conduct risk assessments and measurements
  • Organize and analyze data, and propose corrective or improvement measures
  • Train managers and employees
  • Conduct audits and prepare reports

Your Contribution

We’re looking for someone who is humble, responsive, and has a strong ability to build relationships and foster collaboration. You find it easy to understand the organization’s needs and translate knowledge into practical and sustainable solutions. Through an inclusive and educational approach, you foster participation and engagement throughout the organization. With strong personal drive, you take the initiative and involve others to advance workplace safety issues.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university or college degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, natural sciences, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in occupational health and safety work
  • Solid knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and systematic occupational health and safety practices
  • Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Proficiency with computer systems

Experience with occupational health and safety work in the process industry or other industrial operations is a plus.
