The Mining Technology section is responsible for, among other things, Aitik's mining planning, mine maps, geology and production-related system, technology and development issues. We work to create the conditions for efficient production and work in close cooperation with the operating organization. The section consists of teams specialized in Mine Surveying & Geotechnics, Technical Mine Planning and Systems & Production Technology.

We are now looking for an Operations Manager for Systems and Production Technology for our mining department - a key role for you who want to combine technology, innovation and leadership to drive the future of mining production.
As Operations Manager for Systems and Production Engineering, you will be responsible for technical areas in production systems, data and analytics, automation and production engineering covering both manual and autonomous production. You lead and coordinate the team's work to create the conditions for efficient, safe and future-oriented production. You work both operationally and proactively and quality assure deliveries, production systems and technical solutions. Together with the team, you identify areas for improvement and drive development initiatives through cross-functional collaboration. This includes working with quality assurance and technical development of systems and data as well as being technical support to the operations organization. The role involves a wide network of collaborations, both internally with the operations organization and others, and externally with system vendors and technology partners. The position includes staff and budget responsibilities.
Your main responsibilities
The position is a full-time permanent position based in Aitik. Start date is subject to agreement.
Education/experience
We are looking for you who have a Civil or University Engineering degree in, for example, Industrial Economics, Production Technology, Quality Technology or equivalent that the employer considers equivalent. You have broad competence and several years of experience as a leader and of driving improvement work in production technology issues, industrial logistics and optimization of production in industrial operations or the mining industry.
Personal qualities
You are a natural leader who engages your surroundings. You are analytical and have strong problem-solving skills while working in a structured way, are goal-oriented and have the ability to lead and develop the business and employees. You are open, communicative, unpretentious and have excellent interpersonal skills. You are self-motivated and full of initiative and enjoy taking responsibility for change work and identifying new projects and development issues and driving and implementing these in collaboration with others. You enjoy taking on new challenges and are driven to improve and contribute to efficient working methods and production. Personal qualities will be highly valued.
The work requires good knowledge of Swedish (or willingness to learn) and English in both speech and writing. Driving license at least class B is a requirement.
