Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters that takes a long-term approach to ensuring society’s access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will continue to play a crucial role in the future—what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.

Boliden is growing, and as we develop, the need for our internal functions is increasing—we’re now expanding our payroll team with one more team member!

Would you like to work in a specialist role where you can combine quality, responsibility, and professional development while helping to shape the future of the payroll function at one of Sweden’s most exciting industrial companies? Welcome to Boliden! Here, you’ll be an important part of a team focused on collaboration, expertise, and continuous improvement.

Your role—where quality meets development

As a Payroll Specialist at Boliden, you’ll be a key member of our payroll team. You’ll work on both operational and development-oriented aspects of the entire payroll process, from payroll runs to analysis and improvement initiatives.

Here, you’ll handle complex payroll issues with high quality and precision while helping to drive the work forward by developing work methods, processes, and systems.

With us, you’ll have a role where your expertise truly makes a difference, both in your day-to-day work and in our long-term development.

Your Team and Work Environment

You’ll be part of a dedicated team of nine payroll specialists and report to the Payroll Manager. Together, you’ll be responsible for payroll processing for Boliden’s entire operations in Sweden.

We work closely with the business and have a culture characterized by collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a strong sense of teamwork. The position is primarily based in Boliden, but there is also the possibility of being assigned to one of Boliden’s other locations.

Your Responsibilities

As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll work across a broad range of payroll functions with a focus on quality, service, and continuous improvement.

  • Be responsible for payroll runs and ensure accurate and timely deliveries
  • Provide support and advice to managers and employees on payroll issues
  • Work with collective bargaining agreements, interpretations, and labor law issues
  • Manage cases through our case management system
  • Participate in the development and streamlining of processes and systems
  • Contribute to analysis, variance management, and quality assurance

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with experience in specialized payroll work who feels confident handling complex issues independently. You have a solid understanding of labor law and collective bargaining agreements and work in a structured manner with a high degree of accuracy.

You are service-oriented, solution-focused, and thrive in a role where you can collaborate and build trust within the organization. At the same time, you are highly self-motivated and take responsibility for your work.

We would like you to have:

  • Post-secondary education in payroll, finance, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with payroll management for both white-collar and blue-collar employees
  • Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Class B driver’s license
  • Experience with various payroll systems is a plus.

Why work with us?

At Boliden, we believe in a workplace where care, courage, and responsibility permeate everything we do. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to something greater—a business that plays a vital role in society’s development, both today and for future generations. We offer an environment where you can grow, make a difference, and work alongside dedicated colleagues who share a common ambition to become the most sustainable and respected metals supplier in the world.
