Your role

We are now looking for three preparers to join the Aitik preparation team. The focus of the role is on drilling, over time the role will include more responsibility in sampling, loading and blasting and servicing of drilling equipment. You will work a 12-hour shift on a fixed rolling schedule consisting of equal parts day and night shifts.

Your team

You will be part of a 3-person shift team, working closely with other manufacturing and production functions in Aitik. The team is highly experienced and supports each other in their daily work. During your induction period, you will work alongside experienced colleagues and be given the necessary training to ensure you feel confident in your role.

Your tasks

You will initially:

  • Control the Pit Viper 351 drilling machine, both from the control room and directly from the drilling rig in the field
  • Monitor drilling processes and manage the control systems

Over time, your duties will be broadened to include:

  • Light servicing, machine maintenance and replacing wear parts on the drilling equipment
  • Cuttings sampling of ore and waste rock samples and setting out
  • Loading and blasting, including boosting with Fordyn, connecting blasts, conducting blasting and doling training

The work is partly outdoors in varying weather conditions and there are heavy elements

Your contribution

Requirements:

  • Complete upper secondary education or equivalent education
  • Good computer skills
  • Communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Driving license B for passenger car

It is meritorious with experience from the mining industry, hot work, fall protection training and blasting license. If you have machine experience and previous training, experience of drilling and / or loading, it is also advantageous.
