Are you the one?

Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters that works long-term to guarantee society's access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that shape modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will continue to play a crucial role in the future - what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.

About the role

As a Process Operator at the Boliden sand magazines, you will work practically outdoors all year round to ensure the safe and stable operation of our pumping stations, pipeline systems and water flows. The work is varied and eventful - some tasks are recurring, such as rounds and measurements, while others arise when, for example, pumps freeze or pipes need to be freed from ice. You work daytime Monday to Friday.

Your role

As a Process Operator with us, you ensure that operations are safe, stable and efficient. You work with water flows, dams and pumping stations. The role involves working independently in the field, sometimes in challenging terrain and weather, using your technical and mechanical understanding to solve problems. You will use snowmobiles and six-wheelers to get around when needed.

Your team

You will be part of a small and close-knit group consisting of three regular employees. The work is characterized by close cooperation, frequent dialogue and joint problem solving in everyday life. You also regularly collaborate with maintenance (mechanical and electrical) and contractors when needed.

Your tasks

  • Conduct rounds and preventive checks
  • Move pipes for tailings and water all year round, including winter work with ice removal
  • Monitor, manage and operate pumping stations and water flows
  • Perform minor operator maintenance on equipment and facilities
  • Plan and place orders and have dialog with maintenance and others

Your contribution

You are a person who enjoys practical and technical work, takes responsibility and drives your work forward in a structured and safety-conscious way. You learn easily, are curious and enjoy having to adapt quickly when the day does not go as planned. As much of the work is done in a small team and often under physically demanding conditions, you are collaborative, communicative and confident in working both independently and with others. You take the initiative, find solutions and appreciate a job where variety and outdoor environment are natural elements.

We are looking for you who have

Requirements

  • High school education, preferably with a focus on technology, industry or science
  • Mechanical knowledge - you like to screw and understand pumps and machines
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. Understanding of English
  • B-driving license

Advantageous

  • Additional education or experience in technology or industry
  • Wheel loader training/authorization
  • Basic computer skills
