Are you the one?

Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters that takes a long-term approach to ensuring society’s access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will continue to play a crucial role in the future—what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.

Your Role

As a process operator at Boliden Bergsöe, you’ll help contribute to both a sustainable environment and efficient production. Bergsöe is one of the Nordic region’s leading players in lead recycling, and here you’ll be part of the operation that transforms recycled material into a vital resource for society.

In the role of process operator in lead production, you will monitor and control the processes related to the shaft furnace and the lead hall. The role combines process monitoring via control systems with hands-on work on the plant floor. The work can be physically demanding at times and is performed in a hot process environment, which requires a high level of safety awareness, a sense of responsibility, and good teamwork skills. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to stable production and continuous improvement efforts in accordance with our work methods and procedures.

This is a full-time temporary position through January 31, 2027. The start date is negotiable. The work schedule consists of continuous shift work (6 shifts) and includes day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Your team

You will be part of an experienced team of 33 operators who are collectively responsible for lead production operations. Your immediate shift team consists of five colleagues. The group is characterized by broad experience, in-depth process knowledge, and strong collaboration where safety, quality, and production go hand in hand.

Your Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control production and equipment
  • Perform hands-on work in production
  • Monitor quality and report deviations
  • Conduct rounds and inspections
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance
  • Actively participate in development and improvement efforts

Your contribution

To thrive and succeed in this role, we look for someone who is committed, responsible, and highly motivated in their work. You have an interest in technology, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you help develop work processes and solve problems. With a strong focus on safety and a meticulous approach, you’ll help ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • High school diploma, preferably with a focus on process, industry, or technology
  • Experience in the process or manufacturing industry
  • Strong communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Forklift license with authorization for counterbalance forklifts (B1)
  • A Class B driver’s license

A valid operator’s certificate and prior experience operating a wheel loader (C2) are considered a plus.
