Your Role

We are currently seeking several process operators for permanent positions as well as long-term temporary positions through September 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension. We are recruiting for all shift teams as our operations are growing and we are set to commission a new sand recycling plant.

As a process operator, you will contribute to safe, stable, and efficient production at the Boliden Concentrator. You’ll have a varied role where you’ll be part of a team while also working independently and managing a process department.

The work is conducted in 5 shifts on a rotating schedule, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts, as well as on both weekdays and weekends.

Your Team

The Concentrator is part of the Boliden site and plays a central role in the extraction and production of metals. It houses several production lines for concentrating ore from the mines as well as slag from the smelter.

You’ll be part of a shift team consisting of 9 operators, where teamwork and taking responsibility are key aspects of everyday life. Your immediate supervisor is a shift supervisor who is on-site and supports the team in their daily work. On-site, you’ll receive the orientation and training needed to feel confident in your work and understand our processes.

Your Responsibilities

As a process operator, you will:

• Control and monitor the various process steps in which minerals are separated from the ore
• Monitoring the process from the control room or control booth using monitors and computers
• Performing physical and mobile work throughout the production facility, as certain tasks require you to move around the facility
• Operating and monitoring the facility
• Performing preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Identifying deviations and contributing to a safe work environment as well as a safe and efficient process
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop work methods and improve production

The work is performed both digitally from the control room and physically out on the production floor. As an operator, you’ll work independently and be responsible for managing a process department, while collaborating closely with colleagues on your shift team.

Your contribution

We believe you’re responsible, curious, and responsive. You enjoy learning new things and feel comfortable working in a production environment. You enjoy collaborating with others, take initiative when needed, and contribute to a safe work environment where safety, sustainability, and development are the focus.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• High school diploma, for example with a technical, science, or industrial focus
• Class B driver’s license for both automatic and manual transmissions
• Ability to read and communicate in Swedish
• Computer literacy
• Ability to use common basic tools
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

It is a plus if you have:

• Experience in the steel, metal, or process industries
• Experience with ABB control systems
• Mechanical knowledge or practical experience in maintenance
• Education or training in process engineering, process operation, or engineering
