At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will continue to play a crucial role in the future - what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.

Your role

As a Production Engineer at the Copper Converter production plant, you will have a role where technology, problem solving and collaboration meet. You will be the one who holds the whole together in a plant that is of great importance for the entire Rönnskär production. Here, the job is not just about keeping things running, but about improving, developing and seeing opportunities. You are the one who sees what needs to be done today, but also next year, and together with colleagues you create the right conditions for stable and safe production. You work closely with the business and are a key person in driving availability, ensuring the right maintenance measures and implementing improvements that make a difference.

Your team

You will be part of an experienced and committed team where production engineers, unit managers and flow coordinators work closely together to drive the business forward. Together you form a group with high-tech skills, curiosity and a strong desire to develop both working methods and facilities. In your everyday life, you work closely with the unit manager and the maintenance department and have regular dialog with contractors. You also actively participate in the Kopparlinjen management team's work on availability, priorities and future investments.

Your tasks

In this role, you get a varied everyday life where you are both close to operations and drive long-term development efforts. Your responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate efforts in the plant linked to maintenance and availability
  • Make breakdown analyses and follow up actions
  • Plan and prioritize maintenance measures
  • Act as a customer towards the maintenance department
  • Responsible for the budget linked to maintenance and ongoing operations
  • Lead investment projects, sometimes large and complex
  • Collaborate closely with the unit manager and other production engineers to optimize the functioning of the plant
  • Communicate and set requirements with contractors
  • Contribute to the management team's work on availability, safety and development

The work is independent, but you always have support from colleagues, the maintenance organization and management when needed.

Your contribution

To thrive in the role, you like to work closely with the business and enjoy influencing and driving things forward. You are confident in leading, prioritizing and being clear and do so in a collaborative way. You are analytical, curious and structured and you thrive in an environment where there is a lot going on and learning is part of everyday life.

We are looking for you who have:

  • Engineering or civil engineering degree or equivalent that the employer considers relevant to the position
  • Experience from the process industry
  • Experience in maintenance issues and coordination
  • Experience in leading projects and driving development work
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
  • B-driving license
