For Garpenberg, we are seeking a clear, hands-on, and committed leader for the Production Ort section. Do you want to help build future production capacity through safe, efficient, and sustainable underground mining? Do you thrive in a role where leadership, production, quality, and development go hand in hand? Then you’re the person we’re looking for. Submit your application today!

Your Role

As Section Manager for On-Site Production at the Garpenberg Mine, you will be responsible for developing the mine’s future production areas. You will lead the work on tunneling and preparation and ensure that the right production areas are completed on time, with the right quality, and at the right cost. The role includes, among other things, drilling, blasting, rock reinforcement, and preparation contracting.

You have personnel responsibility, health and safety responsibility as delegated, and budget and performance responsibility for the section. You lead and develop supervisors, production technicians, and employees, and work closely with other sections, planning, geology, maintenance, contractors, and support functions. An important part of the role is to serve as the client and operations manager for the site preparation contracting operations and to monitor safety, quality, progress, performance, and finances.

Your team

You will be part of the mine’s management team and report directly to the Mine Manager. The position is based in Garpenberg, and working hours are daytime Monday through Friday. As Section Manager, Production, you will play a key role in driving safety, quality, adherence to plans, and development forward in an operation where a holistic approach and collaboration are crucial to the mine’s overall results.

Your Contribution

You foster participation, build commitment, and help people grow. You are organized, solution-oriented, and able to communicate clear expectations in a complex operation. You have a strong focus on safety, sustainable production, and continuous improvement.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Relevant technical education or equivalent experience in mining, industry, or construction
  • Experience in leadership within operational activities
  • A solid understanding of the work environment, safety, and risk management
