Your role:

Boliden is looking for a CE Manager for the Mining business area with responsibility for ensuring that machines and equipment comply with applicable EU directives and regulations, harmonized standards and thus meet the requirements for CE marking.

Your team:

You will be part of the OTM (Operation Technologies Management) section which is part of the Systems Engineering department. The team consists of 14 employees and we collaborate cross-functionally. The section acts as a central resource within EIA (Electrification, Instrumentation and Automation) for operational projects and systems management, compliance and research and development within the mines business area. The mines currently covered are Aitik, Boliden area, Garpenberg, and Zinkgruvan in Sweden, Kevitsa in Finland as well as Tara in Ireland and Somincor in Portugal.

Your tasks:

The role includes a delegation to lead and coordinate the CE work for Boliden's mines with responsibility for:

  • Guidance and support to project and operating organizations in the preparation and compilation of technical documentation. This is done through clear instructions, established routines and follow-up controls, such as review of documents via random checks.
  • Support in risk management, where you contribute by participating in risk assessments and in some cases also act as a risk analysis leader.
  • Skills development, where you will contribute to building and maintaining a pool of qualified resources for the production of technical files and related materials.
  • Dissemination of CE knowledge, where you actively share insights and experiences to strengthen the organization's understanding and application.
  • Responsible for monitoring compliance, by signing the EC Declaration of Conformity (according to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, Annex 2), and compliance with other relevant directives and national regulations.
  • Decision-making mandate, which means that you have the authority to decide independently when all requirements are met before signing the EC Declaration.

Your location is Boliden or at one of our Swedish mines. Overnight travel is a natural part of the job. Access according to agreement.

Your contribution:

You who receive a delegated task need sufficient training, experience and understanding to perform it safely. Therefore we are looking for you who have/are: 

  • High school degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience, Certification as "Certified Expert in CE Marking" is meritorious
  • Understanding of EU directives, risk assessments and technical documentation and experience working with CE marking, process industry, mining or enrichment activities
  • Ability to lead, coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional work groups and processes
  • Initiative, educational and with good communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Responsible, investigative, meticulous and confident in making decisions and signing the EC declaration
  • B driving license is needed to take you by car to our sites
