Your role:

As a Supervisor for the Fixed Plant department at the Kankberg mine, you will play a key role in leading and organizing the work to ensure a reliable and efficient plant. The role includes staff planning, coordinating maintenance and prioritizing health, environment and safety at all times. Your team:

As a Fixed Plant Supervisor, you are responsible for a dedicated team of three mechanics. Your team members work above and below ground, and work during the day. In the role, you are located above ground but are expected to be partly underground. You will work together to achieve common goals and create a safe and positive work environment where everyone feels included and motivated. You belong to the maintenance department in Kankberg and together with 3 other supervisors and 2 planners you report to the Maintenance Manager. You collaborate closely within the department, preparers/planners and with other supervisors in maintenance, production and mine construction. You work during the day and are located in Kankberg.

Your duties:

  • Personal responsibility where you lead, distribute and follow up the work of your employees.
  • Drive, follow up and develop working methods and routines to create a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Work with continuous improvements and prioritize health, environment and safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments and plan jobs according to the needs and resources of the business.
  • Contribute as an expert in projects.

Your contribution:

It is qualifying with:

  • High school diploma
  • Work experience in a relevant field such as maintenance or technology.
  • Experience in leadership.
  • Ability to communicate in Swedish and English.
  • Driving license for a passenger car.

It is meritorious with:

  • Post-secondary education in mechanical engineering, maintenance or similar.
  • Experience from the mining industry or other production industry.
  • Experience and knowledge of maintenance systems.
  • Experience of improvement work.
