For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will continue to play a crucial role in the future—what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.

Your Role

As Group Manager for the Excavation Services Department, you’ll play a central, hands-on role, overseeing operations and handling aspects of planning and preparation related to excavator maintenance. You will lead a shift-based work team and work closely with the business on both strategic and day-to-day issues. You will be responsible for ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time, and that work is planned and monitored effectively.

As a team leader, recruitment, development, and rehabilitation are essential aspects of the role. A particular focus is on creating the best conditions for employees’ health, safety, and the work environment. Administrative tasks related to finance, human resources, and management systems are also part of the role.

Your Team

You will lead a team of shift-based mechanics who perform maintenance and service on excavators.

The team works in shifts around the clock; as a team leader, you will work during the day. The role involves many points of contact, both internally and externally, where you will collaborate with the mine, maintenance, and suppliers.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and preparing preventive maintenance
  • Ensuring the availability and inventory management of wear parts
  • Work with forecasts and follow-up on material requirements
  • Manage orders and supplier contacts
  • Drive improvement initiatives and follow up on and optimize work processes
  • Lead and develop the team in their day-to-day work
  • Work closely with the business, both administratively and in the field

Your Contribution

We’re looking for someone who is a hands-on and clear leader, with strong collaboration skills and a knack for building relationships. You work in a structured manner and help maintain order and organization within the business. Furthermore, you are committed, have the ability to motivate your team, and can prioritize tasks effectively to drive the business forward. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Requirements:

  • Completed high school education, preferably with a technical focus
  • Experience in maintenance work, preferably in an industrial setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Strong administrative skills and computer proficiency.
  • At least a Class B driver’s license

Leadership experience and knowledge of Maximo are a plus.
