Your Role
Are you ready for an exciting challenge?
As a Technician, you will be responsible for mills and mill contracts at the Concentrator. You will be responsible for maintenance, improvement, and preventive maintenance work at these facilities. The work focuses on creating structure and order in the tasks to prevent breakdowns and improve preventive maintenance. Keeping the facility’s lifecycle plan in mind during your daily work is key to succeeding in this role.
You are expected to take responsibility for tasks within your area, both as a technical expert and as a project manager for maintenance and improvement initiatives. You will lead and initiate improvement and development projects, conduct technical meetings, and be responsible for follow-up meetings with suppliers. Before and during maintenance shutdowns, you will play a key role in addressing maintenance needs within your area of responsibility, provide technical support, and oversee contractor work.
After a maintenance shutdown or project is completed, you’ll follow up on the results and further develop work processes in the area. Your work time is divided between office work and field work.
Work hours are during the day with flexible scheduling, and on-call duty may be required.
Your Team
You’ll be part of a dedicated and knowledgeable team that works closely with the operations, warehouse, and electrical departments, as well as contractors. You will work closely with purchasing, the engineering department, process engineers, planners, technicians, mechanics, and the preventive maintenance team. Together, we strive to create a safe and efficient work environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Be responsible for maintenance, improvement, and preventive maintenance work at the mills
- Lead and initiate improvement and development projects.
- Hold technical meetings and follow-up meetings with suppliers.
- Provide technical support and oversee contractor work during maintenance shutdowns.
- Follow up on the results of maintenance shutdowns and further develop work processes.
Your Contribution
To succeed in this role, we expect you to:
- Have a high school diploma with a technical or mechanical focus.
- Have experience with similar tasks in mining, the process industry, or other heavy industry.
- Have a good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Hold a Class B driver’s license.
- Have good computer skills and a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
It is advantageous if you also have:
- Experience working with crushing plants, grinding mills, or spare parts management in heavy industry.
- Experience with the Maximo maintenance system.
- Experience working in 800xA.
You possess strong communication skills, a high level of commitment, and flexibility in both your work approach and interactions with others. The ability to be analytical, methodical, and structured in critical situations is essential for success in this role. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
