Do you want to work in one of the world's most modern mines and contribute to safe, sustainable and efficient production? Our operations in Garpenberg are in constant development and we are now looking for two truck mechanics for our department Mobile mechanics underground. Our department belongs to the Underground Maintenance section, where we recently passed 100 employees in total.
Your role:
As a truck mechanic you will mainly perform maintenance on our trucks but you will also perform maintenance on our heavy machinery. Each morning begins with a start-up meeting where we have a review of the day's activities, distribution of work orders and review of any events and deviations that have occurred since the last shift before work begins in the workshops.
We operate in a constantly evolving environment and are looking for you who are open to change, have good collaboration skills, enjoy working both in pairs and independently and value structure and order in the workplace.
The working hours are shifts 7-7 daytime underground (work Mon-Fri 06.00-16.00 and Sat-Sun 06.00-14.18, free every other week). In the long run, night shifts may also be relevant. Probationary period may apply.
Your team:
As a truck mechanic, you are part of the underground maintenance section and our department consists of 35 mechanics divided into two shifts with a group manager each to whom you report. The team also includes two maintenance supervisors who manage the daily operations.
