Your role

Rönnskär in Skelleftehamn is one of the world's most efficient copper smelters and also a world leader in electronics recycling. We have a maintenance department consisting of several units that support the production and logistics of the business. We are looking for a Unit Manager to lead and develop our mechanical maintenance operations linked to our northern facilities for manufacturing, water treatment, material handling and logistics.

As Unit Manager, you will report to a Section Manager and collaborate with other Unit Managers as well as engineers, planners and system developers. You will lead a dedicated team of 10 people who maintain machinery and plant equipment used in the process of producing metals. The role is responsible for the unit's budget, staff and working environment and requires you to work on site close to staff and operations. Travel is required, as well as working in lead-containing environments with personal protective equipment.


Your tasks

  • Conduct a proactive work environment and safety work with the team
  • Lead and develop the unit's staff and operations through goal management
  • Follow up and report the unit's results and key figures to the section manager
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive change work to optimize the business
  • Ensure that laws, regulations and internal guidelines are followed
  • Collaborate with other internal and external parties

  • High school diploma and further education in relevant fields such as mechanical engineering, maintenance and management
  • Experience in coaching leadership as a manager, supervisor or project manager
  • Experience in industry, mechanical maintenance and workshop work
  • Understanding of LEAN principles and streamlining of processes
  • Ability to communicate professionally in Swedish and English
  • Good IT and system knowledge
  • Driving license for passenger car
