Boliden Rönnskär in Skelleftehamn is one of the world's most efficient smelters that extracts metals from raw materials from mines and various types of recycled materials. Above all, copper, gold, silver, lead and zinc clinker are produced.

Job duties

Rönnskär Service Mekaniska (RSM) is part of Rönnskär's central maintenance department. As unit manager at Boliden, you represent the employer by leading and developing the business. In the role, you will collaborate with both internal and external departments/companies. You work actively to develop employees and working methods by encouraging collaboration, participation and knowledge dissemination. The role also includes conducting active work environment work and safety work together with your employees. To help you, you have two planners with whom you work closely. Briefly, the position includes budget, personnel and work environment responsibility. The group currently consists of 19 employees. You report directly to the section manager.

The groups within RSMv have assignments in the following areas:

  • Material preparation: cuts, shears, saws material for further processing.
  • Machine shop: Processing according to drawing or measurement (turning, milling, drilling)
  • Vehicle workshop: Maintenance of internal work machines and vehicles.
  • Belt/Vulk: Maintenance of conveyor belts.
  • Inspection: Inspection of sideboards, lifting yokes, skips etc
  • Ladle rope: Repair of ladles (containers for transporting molten material).
  • Tool cabinet: provides and lends special tools.

Education/Qualifications

To be eligible for the position, you need:

  • High school qualification with additional training in a relevant field such as leadership training, maintenance training or the like.
  • B driver's license.
  • Master Swedish and English in speech and writing.
  • Good IT skills.

Meritorious are:

  • Experience in a managerial position with personnel responsibility.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance work
  • Experience from workshop work
  • Experience from process industry
  • Knowledge of the Boliden Production System, LEAN.
  • Experience with the Maximo system.
  • Good Excel skills

Working hours

Daytime 38.75 hours/week, standby may occur.
