We are looking for a Head of Unit

Rönnskär in Skelleftehamn is one of the world's most efficient copper smelters. The facility receives deliveries of copper and lead concentrate from our own mines, as well as from external suppliers. Thanks to investments and further development of cold technology, the smelter is today a world leader in the recycling of electronics. Copper, gold and silver are mainly extracted from these materials. Rönnskär is our largest production unit and one of the largest private employers in the region. The production section PC copper operation includes approx. 170 employees and is now looking for a Unit Manager to oversee CMA (custom made anodes) and anode quality.

Job duties

As Head of Unit, your main task is to be responsible for your group, 10 employees, as well as lead and execute the daily operations in the surveillance area. As unit manager, you collaborate and plan to optimize our production and process together with colleagues, employees and support functions. You are also responsible for personnel planning, working methods, rehabilitation, development interviews and skills development. You will actively participate in our improvement work and drive development issues together with your employees.

As Head of Unit, you report directly to the section manager for PC copper operation. Other important work tasks are safety and environmental issues, which we prioritize highly in our work. The position includes budget, personnel and work environment responsibility. Emergency service may occur.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position, you need:

- At least 3-year high school qualification or equivalent, preferably some supplementary education in a relevant field.

- Good leadership qualities

- Master Swedish and English in speech and writing

- Good IT skills.

- B driver's license


Meritorious are:

- Knowledge of authorities' requirements for internal and external environment.

- Knowledge of the New Boliden Way, LEAN and Maximo

- Experience in a managerial position with personnel responsibility

- Education in leadership
