Do you want to work in one of the world's most modern mines and contribute to safe, sustainable and efficient production? Our operations in Garpenberg are in constant development and we are now looking for four vehicle mechanics for heavy machinery for our Mobile Underground department. Our department belongs to the Underground Maintenance section, where we recently passed 100 employees in total.

Your role:

Our underground fleet consists of about 100 mining machines such as drilling rigs, loaders, scrappers, bolt setters and various trucks and more, and as a vehicle mechanic, your job is to perform service and repairs on these. Over time, we see that you will specialize in certain types of machines, but you should have the knowledge to work with all of them. The work is usually done in pairs at one of our underground workshops, but both planned and emergency operations in the field occur. Each morning begins with a start-up meeting where we have a review of the day's activities, distribution of work orders and review of any events and deviations that have occurred since the last shift before work begins in the workshops.

We work in a constantly evolving environment and are looking for you who are open to change, have good collaboration skills, enjoy working both in pairs and independently and value structure and order in the workplace.

The working hours are shifts 7-7 daytime underground (work Mon-Fri 06.00-16.00 and Sat-Sun 06.00-14.18, free every other week). In the long run, night shifts may also be relevant. Probationary period may apply.

Your team:

As a vehicle mechanic, you are part of the underground maintenance section and our department consists of 35 mechanics divided into two shifts with a group manager each to whom you report. The team also includes two maintenance supervisors who manage the daily operations.

Your tasks:

• Performing service and repairs on our machines
• Reporting work performed in Maximo

Your contribution:

• High school education in relevant field or equivalent work experience
• Mechanical knowledge
• Swedish and English in speech and writing
• B-driving license

Preferred:

• Work experience as a vehicle mechanic against mining machines.
• Knowledge and experience of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity and welding.
• Experience with Maximo, 5S and computer/system skills
