Are you a service-oriented person who enjoys sales? Then you might be the right fit for us at Coop Jokkmokk!

We’re looking for someone who is positive and passionate about providing our customers with the best customer service in the industry. Customers in our stores should be greeted with quality products at great prices, culinary inspiration, and exciting events.

As a sales associate, you’ll be the face of the store, providing our customers with the best service in a professional manner. The work is varied and includes all types of store duties, such as restocking, working the register, and sales. At Coop, there are opportunities for growth, such as taking on specific areas of responsibility, including customer ambassador, ordering, quality assurance, and social media.

This is a temporary position for 30 hours per week. The temporary position lasts approximately 8 months, and the start date is to be agreed upon. We’re open whenever our customers want to shop, so work schedules may vary—day, evening, and weekend shifts.

We review applications on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline, so please submit your application as soon as possible.

  • Experience and expertise in the grocery retail sector are a plus
  • Experience in customer service roles is also a plus
  • Previous sales experience qualifies you for this role

To succeed in this role, we look for a goal-oriented and driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle periods of high workload. You have a good understanding of store operations and can independently prioritize tasks, take initiative, and drive the work forward. The role also requires that you be able to handle stress, be solution-oriented, and maintain a professional demeanor even when the pace is fast. Since the job involves handling merchandise, you also need to be comfortable performing repetitive heavy lifting.

Benefits

As an employee with us, you’ll enjoy a wide range of benefits. For example, we offer a 10% loyalty discount every month on most items you purchase in our stores and online, as well as up to 3,000 kronor in a wellness allowance each year. We also provide coffee, tea, and fruit in the break room, as well as tickets to a variety of sporting events.

Coop Norrbotten is a retail cooperative owned by approximately 155,000 members in Norrbotten. The cooperative has 41 stores/supermarkets, approximately 740 full-time employees, and gross sales of approximately 3.3 billion kronor. Stores are located from Kiruna in the north to Piteå in the south. The service office is located in central Luleå.

Coop Norrbotten is one of Norrbotten’s largest employers, offering many challenging jobs. We’re in the midst of an exciting journey of change to better serve the grocery shoppers of the future—just as effectively and naturally in our physical stores as on Coop.se.

The ongoing transformation presents many challenges, but also opportunities. And you’re never alone. If there’s one thing we’re especially proud of, it’s our employees. By successfully recruiting many talented employees, we’re working together toward the future.

Coop is unique! It’s easy to think that all grocery stores are the same. The same products on the shelves, the same shopping carts, and then the checkout at the exit. But Coop is different because we’re owned by our approximately 4 million members. That’s what makes us unique. It also gives us an extra-large responsibility, but also extra-large opportunities.

Coop has long been at the forefront of promoting the importance of sustainable practices. Our fish is certified, our chickens are free-range, and our own brand, Änglamark, has been named Sweden’s Greenest Brand—but our journey doesn’t end there.

Together with our employees, we work every day alongside our customers to remain the best in sustainable development, and now we’re investing even more in spreading the joy of food and fostering a greater appreciation for high-quality ingredients.

Together, we can and will become the positive force in Sweden’s food industry!
