Effective procurement is essential when developing and operating critical infrastructure for more than two million people. With us, you’ll apply your procurement expertise to secure reliable suppliers, robust contracts, and efficient processes. This is how you’ll help Elvia be a driving force for positive development for society, people, and the climate.
As a Senior Procurement Advisor, you’ll lead procurement processes from the moment a need arises until the contract is signed and delivered to the organization. You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts across Elvia and manage both large, complex procurements and smaller processes. Along the way, you’ll help translate technical requirements into effective request for proposals and ensure efficient processes for bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract execution. This role gives you the opportunity to work closely with Elvia’s important social mission, while also contributing procurement expertise to selected processes across the group as needed.
You’ll be based in Hamar or Oslo and will become part of an inclusive, diverse team with a broad range of expertise. We are seeking two new colleagues and are looking for expertise that can strengthen our capabilities in both technical and more general procurement. Here, you’ll collaborate with people across disciplines and levels, while also taking responsibility for driving your own processes forward. Both roles must contribute to streamlining, development, and improvement efforts—both within the department and in our interactions with the rest of the company. This is to ensure we meet tomorrow’s procurement requirements. For candidates with the right experience, there may be an opportunity to take on expanded responsibilities as the professional deputy to the head of procurement.
Do you want to use your procurement expertise to create value for an important social mission?
The key responsibilities awaiting you:
Manage procurement processes from needs assessment through contract execution and handover to the organization, as well as supplier follow-up and development
Serve as a strategic advisor and sounding board for the client and professional teams
Monitor developments in the supplier market and contribute to effective supplier and procurement strategies
Ensure sound commercial assessments and professional negotiations that support Elvia’s strategy and goals
Ensure that procurements comply with the Public Procurement Act and the Supply Regulations, as well as other internal and external requirements regarding, among other things, security and emergency preparedness
Take responsibility for and contribute to the further development of strategy, goal management, methods, processes, and the use of technology and AI within the procurement field
Who are you?
At Elvia, we’re curious about who you are, what environments you thrive in, and what you can contribute to our meaningful social mission. That’s why we don’t expect you to check off all the items below before expressing interest in the position, but the likelihood that you’ll thrive with us increases if you recognize yourself in several of the items below:
Relevant higher education in economics, technology, law, or a related field
Experience with procurement in large or complex organizations, and the ability to lead procurement processes from needs assessment to contract signing, where you can demonstrate strong results
Experience with negotiations and the ability to create effective solutions in collaboration with internal subject matter experts and external suppliers, where you can demonstrate achieved results
Experience managing broad responsibilities and driving strategic initiatives, development projects, or complex processes forward. This experience may have been gained through a leadership role, project management, or the management of interdisciplinary processes
Interest in technical issues and the ability to understand complex needs and contexts
You work in a structured and analytical manner, manage multiple processes simultaneously, and collaborate well with others, while also being confident in working independently
Knowledge of the Public Procurement Act and the Utilities Regulation is a plus. You must be fluent in Norwegian and have strong English skills, both written and spoken.
