Operations manager/engineer for Gällivare Energi
Do you want to work closely with production and help ensure a secure and stable energy supply in Gällivare? We are now looking for an operations manager/engineer for our production organization.
Gällivare Energi AB has produced and distributed local energy for over 40 years. Today we deliver district heating to private individuals and companies in Gällivare, Malmberget and Koskullskulle. Our production is mainly based on district heating and electricity, where we work actively to develop a sustainable and robust energy system.
We have together in the organization developed a set of values, VARM, which stands for We feel, Responsibility, Respect and Inclusion, Goal Orientation. These values guide us in both everyday life and decisions.
Our current operations manager is retiring after many years in the business and we are therefore looking for you to take over an important role in our operations organization.
Duties
As an operations manager/engineer, you work closely with the daily operation of our production facilities and lead the operations staff in the operational work. You have a central role in ensuring the stable, safe and efficient operation of our production plants.
The role involves both technical work and leadership where you contribute to the operational optimization, planning and development of our energy plants.
Examples of tasks:
- Lead and support the operations staff in their daily work
- Be responsible for planning and staffing within the operations organization
- Work on operational optimization and technical support in production
- Plan short- and and long-term work together with the production manager and other functions
- Participate in or lead development work and investment projects linked to our production facilities
- Be responsible for delegated work environment tasks
- Ensure that operations and work are carried out in a safe and structured manner
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a technical interest and thrive in a role where technology operations and people come together.
Requirements
- Technical education in energy, operations, process or equivalent experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Experience from operation of energy or process plants
- Good cooperation and communication skills
- Experience from district heating production, cogeneration or similar energy activities
Additional
- Technical education in energy, operation, process or equivalent experience that the employer deems equivalent.
- Leadership experience
- Knowledge of automation and control systems
