Major industrial investments are underway in northern Sweden and including in Gällivare municipality, which means exciting challenges for the rescue service in the dynamic risk picture we are in. The workplace consists of about 30 employees. In addition, there are five rescue squads and a contractually affiliated industrial fire brigade. The Rescue Service Gällivare is part of the rescue management system Räddsam Nord with a total of 19 member municipalities that stretch from Nordmaling in the south to Kiruna in the north where about 500,000 inhabitants live and live.

Duties

As head of the Damage Mitigation Unit within the Rescue Department, you are directly subordinate to the rescue manager and are part of the department's management team. You are the immediate superior and have work environment responsibility for the employees in the Damage Repair Unit (about 20 full-time employees and rescue guards). Your position also includes operational and budgetary responsibility for parts of the rescue service's total operations (the business areas Operations, Operational Development and Learning & Evaluation).

You are responsible for managing, following up and developing the activities of your assigned responsibilities. If you are deemed to have the appropriate skills and based on your personal qualities, staffing of the operation manager function may be relevant.

Qualifications

You have leadership qualities where you are confident in yourself, communicative, responsible, flexible and driven by the development of both individuals and operations. Meritorious is if you have a degree from MCF's management course force leader, older equivalent education or higher management course from based on MCF's education structure. Relevant training in leadership and work environment, experience from a previous managerial position with associated personnel and budget responsibility and experience from work in municipal rescue services with both preventive and operational tasks are also meritorious.

You should have good ability to formulate yourself in text and speech in both Swedish and English and be comfortable with technical support tools. The position may involve security clearance. Great importance is attached to your personal qualities. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

The position requires that you have at least driving license qualification B.

Anställningsform/Arbetstid

Vikariat 1 år. Full time. The basis of the service is daytime duty and depending on your skills and suitability possibly in combination with readiness in a management function as an incident commander.
