Do you want to work closely with management and operations and contribute to the real development of social services?

Social administration in Gällivare municipality is responsible for social services and municipal health care. The administration is in the middle of an extensive transition with a focus on quality, follow-up, skills supply and developed working methods in line with the new Social Services Act. We are now looking for an operations coordinator for the social administration. The position is subordinate to the Head of Administration within the Social Administration.

Duties

As an operations coordinator, you work closely with administrative management and managers to coordinate, follow up and drive cross-administrative issues. The role has a clear focus on structure, follow-up, coordination and practical implementation.

You are the person who ensures that processes are connected, that assignments are carried out and that documentation, reporting and follow-up are of good quality.

In the role of operations coordinator, you work on behalf of the administrative management to coordinate and follow up cross-administrative assignments. You are responsible for case flows, administrative coordination and follow-up lists, and help to create structure and continuity in the work of the administration.

You participate in the administration's management team, where you have an important role in taking notes, coordinating meetings and ensuring that documentation is produced and followed up in an appropriate way. The assignment also includes coordinating and administering user and citizen surveys, open comparisons and reporting of unenforced decisions as well as official statistics.

Furthermore, you work with follow-up, statistics and reporting to both management and other authorities. You participate and coordinate work linked to skills supply, introduction of new employees, training initiatives and various operational development assignments.

The role also involves close cooperation both internally and externally, including with schools, upper secondary schools and adult education, as well as with other administrations and collaboration partners. You will be responsible for updating and coordinating information material and content on the administration's website. The assignment also includes being involved in the work on mental health together with other administrations and the elderly care promise.

The position does not entail any main responsibility for Lex Sarah, quality management or management systems, but constitutes a complementary and coordinating support to the socially responsible coordinator and quality developer.

The assignment may develop and change within the operational area during the time based on needs and decisions that are made.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • High school education with a social science focus
    or other education that the employer considers equivalent
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
  • Good administrative and analytical ability
  • Ability to work in a structured, independent and coordinating manner

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience working in a politically governed organization
  • Experience in follow-up, reporting or business development
  • Knowledge of social services activities

Personal qualities

You have a structured and responsible approach to work with good ability to plan, organize and follow up assignments. A service-oriented and responsive approach is a matter of course and contributes to good collaboration with both colleagues and partners. Confidence in working closely with managers and management is important, and you feel comfortable in contexts where support, coordination and dialogue are central parts of the role. In a changing everyday life, you are flexible and solution-oriented and are easy to adapt when conditions change.

Requirement for a B driving license

Strong emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

In the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration

Vicarious during the period 260601-270831 with possible extension.

Individual salary scale.
