Hedskolan is a 3-paralellig f-6 school with adapted primary school. We have about 500 students and 100 employees. We are centrally located in Gällivare municipality with walking distance to the sports hall, the bathhouse, etc. Hedskolan has a well-developed approach to collegial learning that covers all parts of the curriculum. At Hedskolan, we look at various organizational solutions to ensure that the working environment is good and that students receive the best teaching. At Hedskolan we have four leisure departments that work together. As a new teacher in Gällivare municipality, you will receive guidance from experienced teachers. We also have developed collegial and collective learning at the schools. Special educators, special needs teachers, counselors and school nurses are at the school and we collaborate for the benefit of the students in teams. Class mentors are now present in all classes at Hedskolan and they work mainly with the social parts of the curriculum. Break hosting and break activities are some of the main tasks of the class mentors.

Tasks

As a teacher in the after-school program at Hedskolan, you collaborate on planning and activities with others at the school. Your work involves planning and teaching in all four departments of the after-school program, with the main focus on the departments for Preschool Class up to and including Year 6. You collaborate with class mentors and student assistants in the daily work at the recreation center. The work also includes interacting with other school staff based on your mission.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a license to work in after-school care and have a present and responsive approach to students' different needs, are a clear leader and have good collaboration skills. You are independent, responsible and able to take your own initiative. We develop our work through pedagogical conversations and collegial learning and see it as a strength to be able to help each other to dare to be curious about new ways of working.Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

For employment, we have a requirement for an extract from the police's criminal record.
