About us
Lapland Airport i Gällivare AB is a municipal company with the task of operating and developing Gällivare
airport. The airport is an important node for the region's business community, residents and tourism - and plays a central role in Norrbotten's and Europe's green industrial transition.
The airport is part of the municipal group under Gällivare kommunföretag AB. We have around 30 employees (full and part-time). Our goal is to offer safe air communication with high service for the airport's customers. As an operations manager with us, you have the ultimate responsibility for the safe operation of the airport. This responsibility includes, among other things, that the airport's design and operation meet certifications and regulatory requirements according to current regulations. In the role of
operations manager, you also have financial and personnel responsibility.


About the assignment
As airport manager and CEO, you have overall responsibility for the company's operations, finances and
personnel. You report to the company's Board of Directors and are responsible for developing the airport in close collaboration
with the municipality, authorities, business and the aviation industry.
The assignment involves ensuring safe and efficient airport operations while driving
development issues linked to accessibility, regional development and sustainable aviation.
The assignment is made in accordance with the regulations governing personal requirements for an Accountable
manager at an EU certified airport, (EU) No 139/2014) AMC1 ADR.OR.D.015(a) Personnel
requirements.


The airport is security classified and a civil protection site. You will therefore need to undergo
security clearance and register check according to the Security Protection Act before employment.
Your main responsibilities
 Manage and develop the airport's operations, organization and employees
 Be responsible for finance, business development and long-term strategy
 Ensure compliance with regulations and security requirements in aviation
 Develop partnerships with airlines, authorities, business and regional actors
 Drive innovation and transition towards green aviation and fossil-free aviation
 Contribute to the airport's role in the region's development and social transformation


We are looking for you who
is a confident and strategic leader with the ability to combine business acumen with social mission. You
are development-oriented and thrive in a role where you work both operationally and strategically.
We believe that you have
 Relevant academic education or equivalent experience
 Several years of experience in a senior position with staff and budget responsibility
 Experience of business development and strategic work
 Good understanding of public operations, infrastructure or transport sector
 Experience from airport, aviation or other transport operations is meritorious
 Experience of working in or in close collaboration with politically controlled organizations is meritorious.


You have good interpersonal skills and are skilled at building relationships both locally, regionally and nationally.
