Description of Operations
The Culture School in Gällivare Municipality is the municipality’s largest program offering arts education for children and young people. The program offers instruction in music, dance, drama, visual arts, and music production.
We are now looking to hire an art educator for our program.
Job Responsibilities
Work with the Culture School’s art program. Enabling students interested in art and creative expression in various forms to apply to the Culture School. Working with both individual students and in groups.
Qualifications
Art college, folk high school, or equivalent. We place great value on your personal qualities. We also look for someone who enjoys collaborating with the Culture School’s teaching staff, the cultural department, and elementary and high schools. Personal suitability is highly valued. Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is a plus when applying for a position in Gällivare Municipality.

Working Hours/Duration
50% permanent position. Evening and weekend work may be required
