In Gällivare municipality, we have a unit with all authority exercise in the areas of social services.

The assistance unit is an activity with two teams, one for the group of children and young people and one for the group of adults, in addition we have a coordinator within each group.

The unit for adults consists of social secretaries who investigate abuse, social support, violence in close relationships and employment / self-sufficiency. We also handle financial assistance and cases for elderly care.

The adult unit includes outpatient care for adult abuse. We are now looking for a person who wants to work with the exercise of authority in elderly care.

Work tasks

As an authority exercising authority, you are responsible for investigating, assessing and deciding on interventions according to the Social Services Act together with the individual. You work from a holistic approach where the individual's ability and sense of meaningfulness are taken into account. As an employee, you focus on quality, development and legal certainty with a focus on the individual, based on the Social Services Act. The service is focused on investigation in mainly elderly care according to SoL (Social Services Act). We work according to IBIC. To help you, there are well-developed routines, experienced colleagues and a coordinator who will be available during the day and help you in your introduction. The work includes collaboration with other colleagues in our business and collaboration with other partners.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a social worker or have an education that the employer considers equivalent. You must be able to work independently with case management. You should have good knowledge of current legislation.

As a person, you have good social skills, and are easy to cooperate with others but also able to work independently. You should have empathy and be able to communicate easily with users, relatives and colleagues. You should be able to cope easily with changes in work conditions and planning. You should be able to express yourself well in speech and writing. You should be able to contribute to the development of working methods. Your approach should be characterized by commitment, drive and the ability to take personal responsibility. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

We want to be an attractive employer and with us you have the opportunity to use a wellness hour during working hours but also to exercise and swim for free in our spare time. The assistance unit has reduced working hours, with 2.5 hours less working hours per week for full-time work, which means a weekly working time of 35.92. We invest in close leadership and coordinators for supervision every week.

Working hours / Duration
Full-time, until further notice. Probationary period may apply.
