We are now looking for a committed social secretary who wants to work with processing in elderly care and become an important part of our team.

The assistance unit is organized in two parts: one for children and young people and one for adults. Each unit is headed by a director and has a coordinator to support the daily work. The adult unit consists of social workers who investigate harmful use and dependency, social psychiatry/social support, domestic violence, employment/self-sufficiency and elderly care. It also handles financial assistance and estate cases. The unit also includes the Family Center and outpatient care for adults with harmful use and dependence.

Duties

As an authority practitioner in elderly care, you are responsible for investigating, assessing and deciding on interventions under the Social Services Act together with the individual. The work is based on a holistic approach where the individual's strengths, abilities and experience of meaningfulness are central.The service includes needs assessments of interventions such as home care, special housing and short-term housing. We work according to IBIC and follow the intentions and requirements of the Social Services Act. In the work, you work closely with colleagues within the unit and with external partners.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a social worker or have another relevant university degree that the employer considers equivalent. You must be able to handle cases independently and have good knowledge of current legislation.

You have good social skills and easy to cooperate, while being able to work independently. You have good empathy and communicate well with users, relatives and colleagues. We are looking for you who thrive in an organization where conditions can change and where flexibility is a strength. Since documentation and communication are a central part of the assignment, it is a requirement that you have very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing. You will actively contribute to developing our working methods and work with commitment, drive and responsibility. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

B-driving license is a requirement.
