Description of activities

The Department of Health and Social Care consists of five units, Enen, Forsgläntan, Älvgården, Dementia and Short-term. Älvgården's dementia home consists of two floors and is located on the back side of Gällivare Hospital.

The Department of Health and Social Care runs homes for elderly people with extensive care needs under the Social Services Act. We offer safe and individualized housing with access to care and supervision around the clock. The work is based on the individual's needs, wishes and self-determination. A person-centered approach ensures that each resident receives an individual implementation plan. The business works systematically with quality, documentation and follow-up in accordance with current legislation and regulations.

Work tasks

As an assistant nurse, based on your role as a contact person, you have a central part in the care and care around the residents. The work is based on the individual's needs and the implementation plan, as well as on the guidelines and goals of the business. Your tasks consist of supporting and helping residents with, for example, hygiene, medicine, dressing/undressing and socializing. Your work is important for the residents to have a good and safe life. The assignment also includes administrative tasks such as documentation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have education, experience or interest in working in dementia care. It is important to be able to cooperate, see the user, be flexible and take responsibility. You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in the Swedish language. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration

Full-time employment 100% day/evening/weekend.Probationary period may be applied.
