Business description

Tallbackaskolan is a F-6 school with about 325 students as well as an after-school department and two preparatory classes, located in a residential area between Gällivare and Malmberget. At Tallbackaskolan we work with parts of the Gällivare model, which means that in each class in grades 1-2 there is a teacher responsible for teaching and a class mentor. In grades 3-6, a teacher responsible for teaching works with the support of a class mentor who may be attached to one or more classes. The central student health service is located at the school and students have access to a school counselor, school nurse, 2 special educators, school psychologist and the principals. The after-school program is a complement to the school where students' abilities are developed through various forms of expression and based on the students' interests.

Tasks

As a teacher, you work with teaching. You prepare, plan, implement and evaluate pupils' progress and your own teaching based on the curriculum. You work in close collaboration with guardians. Most of the teachers also work as a responsible mentor in a class.

Qualifications

Teacher's degree with qualifications F-3. You should be responsible, clear and driven, and have easy to create good relationships with students, guardians and colleagues. Commitment, solution focus, innovation, interest in and ability to collaborate are qualities that the school values. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
