Business description
The position is located in the technology department within the Public Works and Technology Administration, which is responsible for providing residents with good service in the field of water & sewage.
Duties
You will primarily work as an electrician in the va-works where the tasks are about water and wastewater treatment. The main tasks are planning, troubleshooting, repairs and carrying out electrical and control work. You may be asked to perform other tasks in the field of water engineering. The work takes place at our waterworks throughout the municipality. The work may include standby duty.
Qualifications
Electrical technician with general electrical qualifications. Previous experience from the process industry, low-current plants and control systems is advantageous.We assume that you are an orderly person and are easy to work with. You enjoy working alone as well as in a team and are no stranger to helping out in other professional areas. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. We would like you to have good computer skills and the ability to document. You will receive induction training and additional training on an ongoing basis. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
