The environment, construction and rescue administration is organizationally a separate administration. The board for environmental, construction and rescue issues is a regulatory board.
The building department handles building permits and notification cases and carries out supervision based on the Planning and Building Act. Other parts such as energy declaration, OVK and elevator devices are also included in the department's areas.
Duties
As construction manager, you are responsible for budget, staff and work environment within the construction department. In this role, you are also responsible for planning, monitoring and evaluating activities and for driving and developing the work of the department.
The work includes supervising and developing staff in the construction department's areas of responsibility. If necessary, you participate in construction consultations, advice to the public and supervision according to PBL.
As construction manager, you are part of the environment, construction and rescue administration's management team. Together, you manage and prioritize the administration's common resources with the municipality as a whole in focus.
Qualifications
You have a relevant university education in construction technology, construction engineer or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Experience of municipal activities with knowledge of the Municipalities Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, the Planning and Building Act is an advantage.

It is important that you are easy to collaborate, are world-oriented, outgoing and enjoy providing service to municipal residents and other stakeholders. You should also have a strong commitment to the task and be interested in building technology and legislative issues. The work involves regular contact with other authorities, developers, consultants and the public. It is therefore of great importance that you are easy to communicate and cooperate with others, both internally and externally, and have good computer skills.
B driving license is required.
The service is security classified and approved security clearance is a prerequisite for employment.
